Our Story

Way Ahead is based in South Devon but operates throughout the UK and beyond.  Launched in 1994 by Phil Way, Way Ahead started by offering young people the opportunity to enjoy exciting, creative and safe outdoor experiences.  Utilising the wonderful natural opportunities in the outdoors offered in the South West soon led to developing the range of outdoor activities on offer and working further afield.

Way Ahead works in partnership with a wide range of schools both state and public, providing courses which offer everything from pure adventure to experiential learning across all year groups through the outdoors. We provide the highest quality experiences in these areas and deliver them in the most creative, safe and engaging ways possible.

We are  proud to have long standing relationships with many of our clients over a long period of time, reflecting our positive relationships, reliability and excellent service. We have many clients which have been with us since the start of the business in 1994 making 2023 a milestone 29th year of operation.
