Some Benefits
LEARNING
BY DOING
People
learn by doing. Development programmes are interactive and provide learning
opportunities through carrying out a structured activity. By exploring their
role in the task, participants can focus on what part they contributed, building
on strengths and identifying barriers or difficulties.
BACK
AT WORK APPLICATION
The
programmes are designed to provide learning that can be applied directly back
to work. Exploring and understanding individual and team performance results
in insights that can be expressed in strong metaphors wth the transition of
learning and ideas back to the workplace.
A
'LEVEL PLAYING FIELD'
Tasks
and activities are designed to create a 'neutral' environment, different from
the usual activities and culture of the workplace and probably outside the
experience of most participants. These 'neutral' tasks provide an opportunity
to work through activities focusing on process and behaviour.
REVIEWABLE
MATERIAL
Development
programmes are designed to provide tasks and activities that provide reviewable
material. Reflection and review consolidate learning and highlight back to
work application. A range and variety of tasks offer wider potential learning
around skills and behaviour.
