Team Working
In
todays business world people are required to be able to move from one
team to another. Cross functional working requires that people have the
skills to be able to drop into a team and hit the ground running. The concept
of teambuilding 'one team' is starting to change and requires that people
are now able to work in many teams. Our teamworking programmes are aimed
at giving people the skills to be able to do just this.
Through experiential learning we help identify the skills required to be able to be a positive team member. By a process of teams undertaking tasks and reviewing them behaviours can be observed and discussed. The tasks form a neutral safe environment to explore behaviour as well as being a lot of fun. The reviews provide the opportunity to look at what people did or said during the task that led to success or what people might do or say differently. Through facilitation positive behaviour can be identified as well as things that could be done differently. The tasks provide strong metaphors for back at work and where possible examples of 'back at work application' are identified. This is underpinned by current theory and models and can be enhanced by including individual personality and/ or team role reports.
